Call for Papers



URBAN HYBRIDIZATION - CALL FOR PAPERS

Theme:
Exploring theories, methodologies, application case studies of urban design in contemporary forms of our sprawled cities and metropolitan landscapes.
We are looking for research papers and viewpoints that focus on the major themes of Urban Hybridization, that are directly related to the urban and architectural design.

Topics:
Hybrid landscapes of the sprawled (diffused) city
Urban landscapes around the roads ("highways-scape")
Hybrid typologies of public urban spaces
Morphologies of the urban grounds ("ground-scapes")
Typologies and textures of urban edges
Hybridization design strategies and case-study in urban, landscape or architectural design
In-between design strategies
Urban Pore/Porosity

Key Dates:
- Abstract Deadline: November 30th, 2009 - Call closed
- Abstracts acceptance notification: December 21th, 2009
- Selected papers submission Deadline: January 30th, 2010
- On-line publication: February 28th, 2010
- Web Conference - Webinar: March - May 2010 - Book: >2010

Submission of Selected Full Papers Guidelines:

- Maximum length of full papers: 20,000 (twenty thousand) characters (including whitespace)

- Text and images separate:
- 1. A text file format. Doc font Arial pt. 12 Normal, Alignment: Left
- 2. Low resolution images 72 x 72 dpi, maximum number: 10
- 3. A text file with captions of the images;
- Individual image files will have as title: "yoursurname01" "O2" etc.,
for example: fabriziozanni01 fabriziozanni02 etc.
